Janie Bryant designed Don's tailoring herself and had Brooks Brothers build it: "I would give them my designs for the principal male cast, and they would produce the suits according to my designs and specs." The early-sixties suit is narrow rather than slim: a slim notch lapel, a two-button front, a shorter jacket and a flat-front trouser with a clean break at the shoe.
